    Opening remarks by Rutherford Pride Alliance Chair Rob Lyons, Rutherford Arts Council Chair Katie Pippin and our Special Guest speaker, Judith Kasen-Windsor. We also welcome local Rutherford High School senior, Nico Schumacher.

    Brian J. Lang is a performer and composer based in Lyndhurst, NJ.

  • 12:40 PM | Thunderwaer

    The THUNDERWAER is the pop-post-punk garage indie rock vibe creation of Delta Dawn in her Portland, OR basement from 1994, along with her partner, Joel Schumacher, enhancing the Riot-Grrrl fueled melodic mayhem on the drums.

    Vanguard Theatre Company Performance from Spring Awakening

    Founded in 2015 by veteran actors and educators Janeece Freeman Clark and Daryl Stewart, Vanguard Theater Company is a unique 501(c)(3) committed to changing the narrative through theater dedicated to DREAM: Diversity, Reciprocity, Education, Activism & Mentorship.

    Kanga Roo is slappin on her big blonde wig and sharpening her nails for another segment of Dolly Parton pride extravaganza!

  • 2:20 PM | Emma Blue Jeans

    Emma Blue Jeans is a singer-songwriter from Rutherford, NJ now based in Brooklyn, NY. Their songs take on new sounds each time live depending on feeling and which friends are around to jam.

  • 2:40 PM | Nara's Room

    Nara’s Room is an experimental shoegaze three-piece based in Brooklyn, NY.

  • 3:00 PM | Slow Cities

    Our PrideFest resident DJ, Slow Cities is the name given to the artistic output of Dan Olivo. Live music performances are electronic improvisations, DJ sets feature dance and disco from around the world confined to the decades of the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

  • 3:20 PM | Drag Story Time

    Our PrideFest hostess, Miss Sunbeam, showcases her unique ability to uplift, encourage and engage children through the Drag Queen Story Time program

  • 4:00 PM | Perfectly Restless Unplugged

    Perfectly Reckless Unplugged is an acoustic rock duo driven by a rhythmic guitarist and two award winning power house female vocalists, Aster Pheonyx & Michelle Pheonyx.

  • 4:20 PM | Cedar Grove High School: A Special Performance from The Prom

    CGHS Theater is grateful that they were able to put the musical, The Prom on this year after overcoming community resistance and they are also so happy to be able to perform these fun and moving scenes here today!

  • 4:40 PM | Cyre'

    Cyre’ is a diverse, passionate, unique and innovative artist whose gifts have been expressed in the music, Spoken Word and film-making mediums. She has performed around the globe singing Jazz, Latin and popular music and has topped the billboard dance music charts with her top 10 billboard listed song “Last Chance”. Her songs can be heard in both film and television programs and has played such diverse stages as the Monster club in New York, Palladium, Calle Ocho and Lincoln Center!

  • 5:00 PM | Our Headliner -- THE SKIVVIES

    Bringing their family-friendly performance to Rutherford, The Skivvies are the award winning, comedy-pop duo Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley, singer/actor/musicians performing stripped down arrangements of eclectic covers and eccentric originals. Instrumentation featuring electric cello, ukulele, glockenspiel, melodica defines the Skivvies' sound . The Wall Street Journal calls them “smart, sophisticated…ingenious,” People Magazine named The Skivvies “The Most Playful Performers” in The Most Talked about Bodies issue, and Sports Illustrated named them "Favorite New Band". The New York Times calls them “a hot musical comedy duo specializing in unexpected arrangements, incongruous mashups…”.
