Event location:

Allow us to introduce ourselves! Based out of Rutherford, NJ, we are two 501(c)3, non-profit organizations that are collaborating to produce Rutherford’s 3rd Annual PRIDEFEST-- celebrating Pride Month  and the LGBTQIA+ community through performance, art and festivities.

About us:

The Rutherford Pride Alliance was formed in 2018 to promote and foster LGBTQ+ inclusivity, visibility, and advocacy in the Rutherford, NJ area. With an online membership group of 600+ supporters, we have been able to create social and educational events for the LGBTQIA+ community members and allies within the Rutherford area.

We were thrilled to raise the Pride Flag in Rutherford for the first time in 2019, to a crowd of 400+ people,  and are gearing up to celebrate Pride Month again, with PRIDEFEST 2024 on Saturday, June 1 in Lincoln Park, immediately following our flag raising ceremony.

The Rutherford Arts Council was formed in 2019 to create a community-driven arts program. Our mission is to celebrate, inspire and support artists and spark greater interest in the arts. We seek to unify and expand existing art and music programming in Rutherford. Our vision includes multiple disciplines for youth and adults such as visual art, dance, theater, music, and literature.

About the Event:

Both organizations will use the event to celebrate Pride Month, the LGBTQIA+ community, their allies, and the Arts . This family-friendly, inclusive event will offer educational vendors, food vendors, a beer garden, live performances, raffles, and kid-friendly activities such as face painting, bouncy houses and more.  You can be a part of this initiative by sponsoring part of our 2024 PRIDEFEST celebration.

Partnering with the Rutherford Pride Alliance and the Rutherford Arts Council:

Partnering with both of our community-based organizations means great exposure to a large, diverse population from Rutherford, Northern NJ and beyond, as there are limited Pride events organized in the area. We request your support of our event by becoming an official vendor or by donating anything towards this event.

Thank you in advance for your time and generosity and please feel free to contact us with questions at RutherfordPrideAlliance@gmail.com.
